Today I took the Pacific Coastal Highway north, going through Malibu, Zuma Beach, going as far north as Ventura. Each location was just as beautiful as the next. It would be impossible to say one beach was better than another, they all were beautiful and picturesque waves, and even though it was a weekday there were lots of surfers present.
Each curve in the road brought another scenic view just waiting to be discovered. I met a friendly spotted squirrel, saw a campground snack bar with a view second to none, and took a scenic drive back to Santa Monica through the mountains.
In the evening, I went to a Lakers game. It is a special place to watch a game. The crowd was enthusiastic, and the skill of the players was amazing. The Lakers have won 17 NBA championships and produced multiple Hall of Fame players, and for one evening I was part of that history.
